Career

Jovetic in the "Fiorentina"

Stevan Jovetić began his career in 2000 in the club “ Mladost ” from Podgorica , already in his youth being considered one of the most talented players in Montenegro [2] . In 2003, Jovetić moved to the Belgrade club " Partizan ", first speaking for the youth team of the club, and then, on April 8, debuting at the heart of "Partizan" in a match with "Vozdovac". In August 2007, accompanied by his father, Jovetic, who had not even reached the age of majority, signed his first professional contract in life, which was concluded after Jovetic scored three goals against Zrinj on 2 August. In the same year, he made his debut for the youth team of Montenegro, quickly becoming the team captain, and after a few months, for the main Montenegrin team. Jovetich played so well that the newspaper “ The Sun ” added him to the list of the most talented young football players of 2008 [3] . The game of Jovetich, who became Antonio Rukavina’s captain of the team in Borussia in Dortmund in January 2008, helped the club to win the Serbian Football Championship , and at the end of the season the leading clubs of the world, including Manchester United and Real Madrid [4]

May 31, 2008 " Fiorentina " officially announced the acquisition of Jovetić for 8 million euros. In the club Jovetich debuted in the first round of the national championship in a game with Juventus . On April 5, 2009, Jovetich scored the first goal for Fiorentina, having implemented a penalty in a match with Atalanta . The first goal from the game Jovetich scored on May 10 of the same year with “ Skating ”. In total, in the first season in Florence, Jovetic played 34 games and scored 2 goals. On August 3, 2010, Jovetich, in a game with Siena , got a break of the cruciate ligaments of his knee and was out of action for six months [5] . On October 4, Stephen was operated on to restore the cruciate ligament at the Hessinparg clinic in Augsburg [6] .

On October 15, 2011, Jovetich extended the contract with Fiorentina [7] .

In the summer of 2013, Stevan was actively interested in Juventus, but the striker chose another club.

July 19, 2013 moved to the English club " Manchester City ", the amount of transfer was 25 million euros [8] . On September 24, he scored his first goals for Manchester City, scoring a double in the Football League Cup match against Wigan Athletic. October 30 in the cup match was injured and was out of action for two and a half months. Soon rumors about the possible sale of Jovetich to Internationale , Juventus or Malaga went, but Manuel Pellegrini said he did not plan to sell a football player. On January 29, he scored the first goal in the Premier League in a crushing match against Tottenham (5: 1).

Jovetic did not manage to become the main player of Manchester City and in July 2015 he left the team and returned to Italy, becoming the Inter player. The debut goal for Inter scored in the first round of the Italian Serie A against Atalanta .

On August 29, 2017, Jovetich was introduced as a player acting in the French championship of the club " Monaco ", with whom he signed a contract for four years [9] . From the sale of the attacker, Inter received about 10 million pounds sterling. In the new team, Jovetich received the 10th number, under which Kilian Mbappa played before him [10] .
