Annotation
| It turned out that the story of the Chimera Nests was told twice, according to the number of Homana's magical winds that poisoned the blood of the narrator. You got a story told in the morning when the wind comes by the name of Hugayda; a story written in black letters on white paper, dotted with funny notes, notes and cartoon faces in the margins. You are so lucky. |
| Every story told twice (say, morning and evening, or at the beginning of spring and late autumn, or aloud and on paper) - these are two different stories. Well, if every person, even the most lost one, is allowed to have mirrors doubles, and that our dreams are watching for us, and one more, silent, but powerful, which is not a word more, - why not have such doubles to the text, created in the image and likeness of the best that is in us? .. |
Story
The action takes place not in the world of Echo, but in the world of Homan, where the main character - Sir Max. In this world, he meets with the Strasmoslab pirates, Khoy bunaba, traveling in search of a way back to Echo, makes a pilgrimage to Varabaiba.
Features
The novel was reprinted twice - the original, "editorial" version was replaced by the "author", then it was reprinted together with the "Labyrinths of Echo." The first version, when reprinted, received the subtitle “The Chronicles of Hugaida”, the second - “The Chronicles of Ovotganny”. They differ only in the names of the winds and the epilogue.
Khoman’s world was originally created by Svetlana Martynchik and Igor Styopin in plasticine form - as an art project that was shown at exhibitions and galleries in Germany (for example, Wittenbrink Gallery in Munich ), the USA (Ronald Feldman Gallery) and Russia ( Marat Gelman Gallery ) [ 1] .
Reviews
L.F. Khabibullina, on the whole referring Max Fry’s work to the “Westernist” branch of Russian fantasy literature, notes the novel “Chimera’s Nests” especially, highlighting in it, firstly, the image of the grau as a reference to the Swift Yeh , and secondly, correlating multiple worlds with "national worlds," thirdly highlighting the image of the Strasmoslab pirates and the attitude of the protagonist towards them - "the desire to part with the representatives of this people as soon as possible." Khabibullina sees this as “the author’s perception of the“ own “national world” [2] .
