Jan Anna Gümar Kulemans [1] ( Dutch Jan Anna Gumaar Ceulemans , MFA : [ˈjɑn ˈkøːləˌmɑns] ; born February 28, 1957 , Lear ) - Belgian footballer , legend of the Club Brugge . In 1991, he finished his playing career, after which he worked as a coach. The holder of many records of the club "Brugge" and the national team of Belgium . Three times received the award of the best football player in the country. He played 96 matches in the national team and is the second player in this indicator. He scored 230 goals in the Belgian Championship . With the national team he became a finalist of the European Championship and a semi-finalist of the World Cup .

Content
Career
Culemans debuted at the World Championships in 1982 in Spain, in the opening match of which Belgium sensationally defeated the current Argentinean world champions.
At the World Cup in 1986, in the 1/8 finals match against the USSR, Kulemans scored an offside goal, which allowed the Belgian national team to put the game into overtime and then defeat the USSR [2] . In 1990, after the next World Cup, Jan Kulemans decided to leave the team.
In total, he spent 13 seasons for Brugge , despite even offers from the European football giant Milan . [3]
After the 1991 season, Coulemans decided to end his football career and become a coach due to a serious knee injury. In 1992, Jan became the head coach of the Endracht club , which he brought to the top division of Belgium, and with whom he got into the UEFA Cup qualification . In 1999, Jan became a coach of the Westerlo club, with whom he won the Belgian Cup and participated in the UEFA Cup. In 2005, he returned to his "native" Brugge , where he worked for 1 year, without achieving anything. After Brugge, Kulemans returned to Westerlo, where he worked until May 2012.
