Igor Nikolaevich Ivanenko is a Russian historian, candidate of political sciences, expert of the Institute of Russian Abroad (Moscow), member of the board of the Transdniestria Strategy Information and Educational Foundation. He specializes in the history of the North-Western Black Sea region, the development of political institutions of self-determined states.

Biography
Igor Ivanenko was born on July 5, 1976 in the city of Weimar (Germany) in the family of a military man [1] .
In 1993-98. studied at the Faculty of History of the Transnistrian State University. T. Shevchenko . While studying at the university in 1996-98. headed the Association of Youth Organizations of Transnistria [1] .
Since 1998, he worked in the Republican Department for Youth, Sports and Tourism of the PMR . In 2001-05 worked in the Ministry of Education of the PMR [1] .
In 2004 he defended the degree of candidate of political sciences at Tula State University [1] .
In 2005-09, he headed the social projects department of JSCB Gazprombank Tiraspol [2] , participated in the development of the Children's Planet, Young Energy and Public Initiative programs. In 2007, he was elected Vice President of the Children's Planet charity foundation [1] .
In 2009-12, he was the director of the Transdniestria Strategy Information and Education Fund [1] .
Since 2010, lives in Moscow, is engaged in teaching and research activities.
Community and research
He led the development of laws of the PMR "On State Youth Policy", "On Physical Culture and Sport", the Concept for the Education of Children and Youth in Transnistria. He organized the first festivals of youth and students of Transnistria, participated in the creation of the Public Chamber of the PMR.
In 2009, he participated in the World Congress of Political Scientists (Santiago, Chile).
In 2008-10. participated in the activities of the Patriotic Party of Transnistria.
Since 2013, under the order of the Institute of the Russian Abroad, it has been carrying out a research project "Novorossiya" dedicated to little-known issues of the history of the North-Western Black Sea region.
