Santa Chiara ( Italian: Basilica di Santa Chiara , St. Clara's Basilica) is a religious complex in Naples , which includes a monastery , tombs and an archaeological museum.

The monastery was built in 1310–1340 by King Robert the Wise as the tomb of the kings of the Anjou dynasty .

Initially, the monastery was built in the traditional Provencal-Gothic style , but in the XVII-XVIII centuries it was rebuilt in the Baroque style . During World War II, the building was almost completely destroyed by bombing. After restoration in 1953, the church returned to its original appearance.
