Champion of Finland 1939 and 1954 Silver medalist of the championships of Finland 1947, 1951 and 1952. (in the 1952 championship, he shared 1-2 places with K. Oyanen , but lost the championship title for additional indicators).
The Finnish national team includes participants in official and unofficial chess Olympiads , the Nordic team tournament and international student team competitions.
In 1946 he became the winner of the tournament of the northern countries .
