Biography

Nikolai Dmitrievich Vlasov was born on December 25, 1923 in the village of Staroye Selo, Smolensk Province (now Yartsevo District , Smolensk Region ) [1] . He graduated from school, he worked on the farm. In 1940–1941 he worked as a laboratory assistant at a dairy plant. With the beginning of the war and the approach of the German units, the plant was evacuated to Kazakhstan ( Aktobe region ).

Participation in the Great Patriotic War and the feat

Entered into the army in 1942, at the front since 1943. He was wounded twice [2] .

On the days of preparation for the transition of the Soviet troops to the counteroffensive in the area of ​​the city of Sevsk, Bryansk Region, the engineer Vlasov removed and neutralized 378 enemy mines [2] .

On October 15, 1943, when crossing the Loyev village of the Loyevsky district of the Gomel region of Belarus, Nikolai Vlasov, one of the first to cross the Dnieper river, drove the riflemen to the right bank of the river and went with them to attack. Took part in taking an enemy trench. I picked up five wounded Soviet soldiers and sent them to the left bank of the Dnieper. And so all day - to the front with the soldiers, to the rear with the wounded.

October 30, 1943 by decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR for the exemplary performance of combat missions of command on the front of the fight against the German fascist invaders and the courage and heroism shown to Vlasov Nikolai Dmitrievich awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal (No. 1627).

He served in the 170th separate engineering-sapper battalion of the 14th engineering-sapper brigade of the 65th army .

After the war

After the war - in reserve, he lived in the city of Lipetsk .
