Story

Dmitry Fomenko, an engineer at the aerodrome service of an aircraft repair plant, an indispensable worker in production, an excellent family man and horse lover, suddenly disappeared. He was not at home at night, and in the morning he checked in at work (a pass was left at the checkpoint, and several people saw him), but they can not find him. Turning to all the places where he could have been, including production, Alina’s wife ( Liya Akhedzhakova ), on the advice of her friend, turns to a familiar investigator ( Armen Dzhigarkhanyan ). He recommends that she write a statement about the disappearance of a person, and he starts an investigation, interviewing colleagues and relatives of the missing person.

At work, as directed by the head of the workshop, Manechkin ( Rolan Bykov ), they search all production facilities where Fomenko could be located, and even the pond adjacent to the plant. He cannot be found for 9 days, during this time Alina's father ( Sergey Filippov ) even manages to find her a new groom. As it turns out, Fomenko was tired of everything to death: indifferent colleagues, a cackling wife and daughter, who screamed at him for no reason (adolescence), stupid friends. The hero finally decided to take up his favorite horse riding and, without saying anything to anyone, left for the mountain sports base. When they realized at work and at home that Fomenko had run away from life and bored circumstances, the family and friendly friendly team, realizing the shortcomings and coordinating the actions of the two sides, come to help each other. The police are trying to find him in the mountains, using a helicopter for this purpose.

The film is full of comical and sad situations that the stars of domestic cinema brilliantly play.

Filming

The film was shot in Crimea, many scenes were shot at the Moscow Hotel in Simferopol. Several scenes were shot in the mountains in the Bakhchisarai district.

Ratings

Rolan Bykov in his diary left a number of conflicting notes about filming the film: expressing doubts about the director’s interpretation of the script and the correct selection of actors, he critically evaluated his work: “The experience of organic living in the frame made me simplify the design and impoverish the plan” [1] . According to Nathan Eidelman , the film turned out to be sharp, but he was "hindered by the farcical nature of Roland Bykov" [2] .
