The village Shushiya forms the rural settlement as the only settlement in its composition [3] . [4] .
Content
Geography
The village is located on the territory of the Kumtorkalinsky district , near the Makhachkala – Kizlyar highway, not far from the coast of the Caspian Sea [5] .
The nearest settlements: in the north - the village of Ahar in the south - the village of Novochurti [6] .
History
The village was founded for immigrants from the Yamansu village of the Novolaksky district , which until 1996 was called Shushiya [7] .
In September 1991, at the III Congress of People's Deputies of the Republic of Dagestan, a resolution was adopted on the restoration of the Aukhov district and the resettlement of Laks from Novoloksky district to the coast of the Caspian Sea [8] .
