Club career

He started playing football in Kutaisi. He joined the Rtsmena team at the age of seven, and ten years later made his way to the main team. In Kutaisi, “ Torpedo ” played two seasons, but because of disagreements with the coach, he was forced to move to the Iberia club from Samtredia.

Then there was an invitation from Dynamo Tbilisi, the famous Dutch specialist Johan Boskamp invited me , I did not stay in Tbilisi for a long time. He won two championship bronze medals with the Torpedo and one silver with the capital's club.

Before heading to the Crimea, Vasil practically became a player of the Moscow Torpedo . I trained with the Torpedo team for two weeks, but when it came to signing the contract, problems began. They did not find a common language regarding the personal terms of the contract, and Gigiadze went to Tavria .

He arrived in Simferopol in the summer of 2000, along with his brother Soso. He did not manage to get into the team, and Gigiadze very soon became a base player, and then the captain of Tavria.

In 2003, he left for a year at Uralan . The club had serious financial problems. Uralan left the top division , and Vasil returned back to Tavria.

He spent four seasons in Tavria. When the contract expired, he was offered to extend cooperation on good conditions. He had four options, all Ukrainian. Alexander Kosevich convinced that you need to choose Kryvyi Rih Krivbass . Financial circumstances forced to search for new jobs. Vasil practically became a footballer of the Rapida Bucharest. Arrived in the capital of Romania. A few hours later, the last round of negotiations with the club was to take place. But later he was recalled by a club from Krivoy Rog.

In the summer of 2007, he joined the freshman of the Premier League Neftyanik-Ukrneft from the city of Akhtyrka, played 13 matches there without scoring a goal [2] .

In 2008, for the third time he returned to Tavria in Simferopol, and signed a new two-year contract with the team [3] .

Team Career

He was a regular player in the youth team of Georgia . He made his debut in the main team under the French coach Alain Giresse . In total, he spent six matches for the Georgian national team .

Achievements

  • Ukraine Cup Winner (1): 2009/10
  • Member of the scorer Club Maxim Shatsky : 74 goals.

Personal life

Gigiadze was single until the age of 27. A year after the wedding, the couple had a baby, named daughter Nino. The wife constantly lived in Georgia and moved with her child to Krivoy Rog only after Nino's christening. The godfather of his daughter is Malkhaz Asatiani . He has houses in Tbilisi and Kutaisi. Vasil’s twin brother, Soso [4] , who ended his career due to injury, also played football.
