Podophyllum , or nogolist ( lat. Podophýllum ) - a genus of plants of the family Barberry ( Berberidaceae ).

This genus includes 10 species, 9 of which are common in Southeast Asia and the Himalayas , and one in eastern North America . Some botanists consider only the North American species as the podophyllum, the thyroid podophyllum ( Podophyllum peltatum ), while Asian species distinguish it in the special genera Sinopodophyllum (Chinese podophyllum) and Dysosma . All podophylls are shade-loving forest plants [2] .
