Biography

He graduated from the Moscow specialized school No. 14 with teaching a number of subjects in English (1967) and the history department of Moscow State University (1972), a student of V. I. Bovykin ; thesis "Funds of state chambers as a historical source." In 1972-1988 he worked at the Institute of History of the USSR Academy of Sciences of the USSR . In 1979 he defended his thesis “Cultural Revolution and the Peasantry. Based on materials from the provinces of the European part of the RSFSR. 1921-1927. "(Scientific adviser V. T. Ermakov ).

In 1988-1991 - Head of the Political History Sector of the 1920-1930s. Institute of Marxism-Leninism under the Central Committee of the CPSU . In 1992-2013 - Deputy Director and Head of the Center for the Study and Publication of Documents of the Civil Aviation Administration of the Russian Federation .
