Biography
Both of his parents, Charles and Dolly, had experience touring and developed the creative abilities of his son when he was a child [1] . Brandon first met Jose Pasillias in high school in the 80s. He was invited to a group where Jose Pasillas , Mike Einziger and Alex Katunich were already . While writing her early songs and surfing, the four quickly became best friends. They composed more and more songs, and quickly began to do popular shows in the vicinity of Calabasas .
When the band decided to play their first concert at Roxy, it was time to choose a name. Brandon suggested the name Spiral Staircase, but this option was found to be unsuccessful after Michael found the rare word Incubus in the dictionary. Brandon made excellent use of his other talents by painting concert flyers promoting their early performances. At first, he copied several drawings from the erotic book that Michael's mother gave them, but the group stopped using them after several fans were discouraged by their flyers [2] .
Over the years, Brandon's vocals have become the main component of the success of the group. His impressive strong vocals caused the band to contract with Sony's Epic / Immortal record company. Thanks to this, the group received support from its two major releases, SCIENCE . and make yourself . In 2000 , the group became widely known thanks to the hits of Pardon Me , Stellar and Drive .
However, the scene for some time gave way to painting. Before the Incubus members decided to devote their entire time to music, he and Jose attended Moorepark College as art students.
Now Brandon lives surfing, drawing, writing songs and poems and spends time with friends, family and his beloved dog named Bruce.
