Labdak ( dr. Greek Λάβδακος ) - in ancient Greek mythology [2] king Thebes , son of Polydor and Nikteida. Lai's father, grandfather of Oedipus . He was the third king of Thebes after his grandfather Cadmus and father Polydor. When Polydor died, Labdak was still small, so Polydor entrusted the guardianship of Nikteus . When Labdak grew up, Lik transferred power to him [3] .

He fought with the Athenian king Pandion , but defeated [4] . He died after Pentheus , having the same mindset. He left the one-year-old son Lai [5] .
The descendants of Labdak are called Labdakids. Among them are Oedipus , Antigone , Ismena , Polyunik, and Etheocles .
