Biography
A. Golovachev was born on November 27 ( December 10 ), 1909 in the village of Lyubohn, Bryansk district, Oryol province (now a urban-type settlement in the Dyatkovsky district of the Bryansk region ) in a working-class family.
In the army since 1929.
Member of the CPSU (b) since 1931 .
In 1932 he graduated from the United Military School named after the All-Russian Central Executive Committee of the RSFSR .
In 1939-1940 participated in the Soviet-Finnish war .
Since 1941, Golovachev on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War , since March 1942, the commander of the 1326th rifle regiment of the 415th rifle division , and since August 1942 - the 52nd motorized rifle brigade of the 15th tank corps of the 3rd tank army . For the difference in the battles in February 1943, the brigade under the command of Golovachev was renamed the 23rd Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 7th Guards Tank Corps of the 3rd Guards Tank Army .
The successes and deeds of the brigade of Colonel Golovachyov during the Lvov-Sandomierz operation were deservedly marked by a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of September 23, 1944 . By this decree, the commander of the 23rd Guards Motorized Rifle Guards Brigade, Colonel Alexander Golovachev, was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal (No. 4659). Together with him, 14 more soldiers of the brigade were awarded this high rank.
On March 6, 1945, Guards Colonel A. A. Golovachev died in a battle in Silesia in the area of Logau (now in Poland ) as a result of a splinter injury from an enemy shell. He was buried in the city of Vasilkov, Kiev region of Ukraine .
By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of April 6, 1945, the commander of the 23rd Guards Motor Rifle Brigade, Hero of the Soviet Union, Guards Colonel Golovachev Alexander Alekseevich was posthumously awarded the second Gold Star medal.
After the death of Golovachev, the brigade was led by the Hero of the Soviet Union - Shapovalov, Evgeny Petrovich .

- In 1978, an artistic envelope dedicated to the hero was published.
- Secondary school number 32 of Kharkov is named after him.
- In the name of A.A. Golovacheva named one of the streets in Buda-Koshelyovo .
- In the name of A.A. Golovacheva named alley in Alekseyevka , in the liberation of which he participated in January 1943, during the Ostrogozhsko-Rossoshanskoy operation of the Voronezh Front .
