Date of birth not set. In 1820, he entered the Black Sea Artillery School as a young man, in 1828 he became a junker in the Black Sea Fleet and in the same year went to the Russian-Turkish War Theater, where he took part in the capture of Varna , for which he was awarded the distinction of the Military Order .
Renamed in 1831 as the ensign of artillery and made in 1833 as second lieutenant, and in 1838 - as lieutenant , he, in the same year, 1838, was renamed midshipman and participated in the frigate "Brailov" in the landing landing in Abkhazia when occupying the town of Shapsuho ; for this case Losev was awarded the Order of St. Anne of the 4th degree.
The following year, he was promoted to lieutenant and sailed off the Caucasus coast, participated in landings to occupy the towns of Subati and Psezuape.
In 1852, Losev was appointed assessor of the military court commission in Izmail , with the renaming of captains for the admiralty. On November 26, 1853, he was awarded the Order of St. for the numerous differences in the occupation of fortified points on the Caucasian shore and for immaculate service . George 4th degree (No. 9241 according to the cavalier list of Grigorovich - Stepanov).
In 1855, Losev was promoted to majors and the next year, January 12, died.
