Biography
Born on February 14 ( February 27 ), 1909 in the village of Kanavino (now within the boundaries of Nizhny Novgorod ). He learned to play in school performances, having mastered the balalaika, mandolin, guitar, and at 13 years old independently by ear and piano. He began to compose tunes as a schoolboy. Since 1924 he worked as a taper in the club of railway workers.
From 1924 to 1925 he studied at the Nizhny Novgorod Technical School (the building was preserved, 14 Oktyabrskaya Street , a memorial plaque), at the work faculty of the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Theater , and then entered her composer faculty, which he graduated in 1936. Two years later, Mokrousov wrote the song “My darling lives in Kazan”, which brought him fame.
At the end of 1941, for the documentary “The rout of German troops near Moscow,” he wrote “The Song of the Defenders of Moscow,” which he immediately fell in love with in the army. In 1943, Mokrousov created the ballad song "The Treasured Stone ." Dunaevsky called her the best song about the war. But Utesov said that there is a Tsar Cannon, a Tsar Bell and there is a Tsar Song. This is the "treasured stone."
But most clearly the talent of the composer was manifested in the creation of lyrical songs. They are distinguished by sincereness, sincerity, high taste. To the tops of the song lyrics can be attributed “On the Porch”, “Autumn Leaves”, “Sormovskaya Lyric”, “To Brag, Sweetheart, I Will Not Be”, “We are not friends with you”.
As a rule, Mokrousov first composed the melody, and only then the poet wrote poetry to it.
The composer collaborated with famous songwriters: Isakovsky, Dolmatovsky, Lisyansky, Labkovsky, Gleizarov. Many talented songs were created in a creative partnership with Alexei Fatyanov. Mokrousov was connected with him by a great human friendship.
In the 1940s - 1950s, Mokrousov's songs were extremely popular. The composer's works were performed by Obukhov, Lemeshev, Utesov, Shulzhenko, Ots, Nechaev, Troshin, Arkady Raikin, Yves Montan. They sounded in French, Italian, Polish, Finnish, Chinese, Japanese, Korean.
In 1956, Mokrousov wrote the song “ Vologda ”, but it won wide popularity only in 1976, when it was performed by the ensemble “Songs”. Vologda has become the hallmark of this ensemble.
The last work of the composer was the music for the film “The Elusive Avengers ”. To write music for the next series - “The New Adventures of the Elusive ” - was prevented by death.
B.A. Mokrousov died on March 27, 1968 . He was buried in Moscow at the Novodevichy cemetery (plot number 6).
The director of “Elusive Avengers” Edmond Keosayan describes his funeral in such a way: “When I remember Boris Andreevich Mokrousov, the great Russian songwriter (I am not exaggerating, the great!), A picture appears before my eyes ... The coffin ... And there’s nobody to lift it ... We lifted it with our“ elusive “- four boys of 14-15-year-olds and I ... No, that was not the way Boris Mokrousov should have been on his last journey. Not so! ” [3]

Criticism
The writer Mark Freidkin , who considered Mokrousov a great composer and a great melodist, was perplexed in criticizing him for “The Song of the Fireman in Love,” written for the play “The Seasons” by Arkady Raikin, believing that Mokrousov borrowed the motive from the Argentine song “Milonga de Buenos Aires” isp. La milonga de Buenos Aires ) 1939 [5] .
