Biography
Born in a family of zemstvo doctors of populist beliefs. Father, Konstantin Stepanovich Lozina-Lozinsky, came from an old family of noblemen of the Podolsk province , the full name is Lyubich-Yarmolovich-Lozina-Lozinsky . Mother Varvara Karlovna is the daughter of Lieutenant General K.F. Scheideman , a hero of the Crimean War . [3] The elder brother Vladimir became archpriest (in 2000 he was numbered among the saints of the Russian Orthodox Church ).
In 1888, when Alexei was two years old, his mother died of typhus during a struggle against an epidemic in the city of Dukhovschina in the Smolensk province . After that, his father moved to St. Petersburg , where he worked as a doctor at the Putilov factory . [3]
After graduating from high school , Alex entered St. Petersburg University . From there, he was fired for participating in student unrest. Ever since high school years, the young man took part in revolutionary work. He was arrested three times. One year (1912-1913) Alexey Lozina-Lozinsky stayed on the island of Capri . There he met with Maxim Gorky , but sympathy between them did not arise.
At 19, due to an accident, he lost his leg and walked on a prosthesis. Going on a hunt, the young man casually threw a loaded gun into the boat. A booming shot crushed the knee; the result of this severe injury was the amputation of the leg. [4] . The poet attempted suicide three times. On November 2, 1909, after a failed student strike (on the occasion of the withdrawal of second-year Jewish students from the university), Alexey Lozina-Lozinsky shot himself in the chest. This was the first suicide attempt. January 31, 1914 Alexey made a second attempt: in the restaurant "Record" in the circle of several writers, among whom was Kuprin , he shot himself. The bullet went above the heart, paralyzed the arm. In serious condition, he was sent to a hospital. The last time the poet took morphine and, having opened the book of Paul Verlaine , kept records of his feelings until the last minute. According to the testimony of Archpriest Vladimir Lozin-Lozinsky, despite suicide, he was buried in the church rite (memoirs of St. Vladimir were published as an annex to the poet’s collection of poems published in 2008).
In the Petersburg Winters by George Ivanov there is a portrait of Alexey Lozin-Lozinsky - rather, it can be called a fantastic sketch , almost tangibly depicting the atmosphere of the morning “ Stray Dog ”, the infernal dusk of which is consonantly presented by the ghostly and sinister figure of an unfortunate and sinful poet who argues about the preferred and the time of suicide ...: "... Goodbye, Mr. Lozina-Lozinsky ... Goodbye, unsuccessful poet Lyubyar! .. Here it becomes unpleasant for me. I know that Lyubyar is the pseudonym of a poet who several times unsuccessfully committed suicide and, finally, recently committed suicide. I read his poems, now meaningless, now clear, even too much, with some tinge of madness. In any case, talented poems. The mention of his name is unpleasant for me. Why disturb the memory of the dead? I say it out loud. ... Touch! .. A vegetated horse carries a sled. I look at the business card: A. Lyubyar ... Lozina-Lozinsky ... Such and such a street ... ". And then G. Ivanov recalls: “About two months later I received the agenda of the Bronze Horseman society for a meeting in memory of the poet Lyubyar. This time (three weeks after our meeting) the suicide loser got his way ”; - And about the farce into which the evening arranged by Larisa Reisner turned into: “The evening was ugly, to say nothing. But as I walked home across the Trinity Bridge, I remembered the grin of my recent nightly interlocutor, and it seemed to me that perhaps this unfortunate person would have been pleased with such marks. ” [five]
Lozina-Lozinsky is buried at the Mitrofanievsky cemetery in St. Petersburg .
Creativity
It may be that you did not notice I always looked for her, her alone Since in my youth I was unhappy in love, The word is just a hint of luxurious silence. |
The first book by Aleksey Konstantinovich in the spirit of pamphlets of the French Revolution “The Death of Ghosts (Tombstone over the latest events at St. Petersburg University)” (St. Petersburg, 1908) was confiscated by the police. In a pamphlet, Lozina-Lozinsky analyzed the causes of the defeat of the student strike, examined the evolution of students “from Marxism to footballism,” and showed how university “socialism” from reality “turned into a ghost, and from a ghost to dust.” The results of the defeat of the student strike forced Lozina-Lozinsky to conclude that the revolution was defeated and the need for further struggle.
The author of five books of poems. In 1912, Alexey Lozina-Lozinsky, under the pseudonym Y. Lyubyar, published three collections of his early poems under the general title Contradictions. In 1916, two of his books saw the light - Trottoire and Pious Travels (the last posthumous).
Living in exile in 1912-1913, he published a book on Ancient Capri. Rome and Kiev. To the question of process continuity ”under the pseudonym J. Lyubyar. Prepared for print another “How to play roulette in Monte Carlo without a win?” Probability Studies. ”
The poet lived in Italy and France for a long time, translated a lot. The best of those found in magazines and archives is the arrangements of the French poet Charles Baudelaire (Sorrows of the Moon, Spleen, The Wine of the Lonely, Death of the Poor, The Voice of The Lid) and the Italian poet Lorenzo Stacchetti (“The Girl Will Slightly Descend” a little cover from the shoulders ... "," Why are you raising your voice, rebelling, ... ").
The book “Loneliness. Capri and Naples. (Random notes of the connecting rod around the world) ”, which was impossible to find the publisher, came out after the poet’s death, in the manuscript she sympathetically with a positive assessment of her literary merits was preceded by A. P. Chapygin, friends with A. Lozin-Lozinsky (for the quintessence“ sad “lyric”, without which it is unthinkable “a real literary work”) and I. D. Surguchev (their letters to the poet are TsGALI); “Melancholy”, a story that was not included in the book, was published by V. G. Korolenko in “Russian Notes” (1916, No. 5), which perceived the whole book as “fruitless self-deepening”. [3]
