Story
Sam and Dean find out that Bobby was in the hospital. After talking with the doctor, they find out that he simply fell asleep and did not wake up. Winchesters visit the hotel, where Bobby stayed, investigating another case. After inspecting the room, the brothers find various articles and newspaper clippings from which it appears that Bobby investigated the death of Dr. Gregg, who died in his sleep.
Dean talks to Dr. Gregg's assistant, from whom she learns that during his life, the doctor worked on sleep problems and made various experiments. After examining the notes of Dr. Gregg, Dean comes home to one of the subjects named Jeremy. He learns from him that Jeremy suffered a head injury in childhood, after which he stopped dreaming and Dr. Gregg began to give him some kind of herbal infusion, from which he began to see the brightest realistic dreams.
At the hospital, Sam tells Dean that there is a plant called Silenus Capensis, with which, according to legend, one can penetrate other people's dreams, control them, and even kill people. Dean suggests that Dr. Gregg decided to use this plant on one of his patients, and he, having entered into a dream, killed him.
Winchesters decide to get into Bobby's dream and ask him for help in investigating this matter. Dean calls Bela and asks her to help her get them a sleepy root, with which they can penetrate Bobby's head. Bela brings root to the brothers, saying that he does it for Bobby, since he saved her life a long time ago. Winchesters take infusion of sleepy root with the addition of Bobby's hair and immerse themselves in his sleep. They find themselves in his house, and Dean goes in search of him. Sam leaves the house and finds himself on the porch, laden with flowers. At this time, the door slams behind him.
Dean, wandering around the house, finds Bobby and tells him that he and Sam have taken a sleepy root, but he apparently does not understand anything. The light begins to flicker and Dean and Bobby are hiding in the pantry. Dean tells Bobby that this is just a dream, but he does not believe him. Suddenly, Bobby's wife appears with stab wounds and asks him why he killed her by sticking a knife into her. Dean is trying to explain to Bobby that this is just a dream, but he is trying to somehow justify his wife, saying that she was obsessed, and he did not know how to help her.
At this time, Sam meets Jeremy with a bat in his hands. He stabs Sam and he falls to the ground. Dean tells Bobby that all this is a nightmare, and that he can wake up at any moment and stop it. Bobby inhales deeply and wakes up in bed. At the same time, Sam and Dean wake up in their room.
At the hospital, Bobby tells the brothers that Jeremy was able to get into his head with the help of saliva, which he left on a bottle of beer. Dean with horror recalls that he also drank beer when he came to Jeremy's home. The three of them decide to find Jeremy before he gets to them, but he fell through the ground. After a long search, which yielded no results, Dean falls asleep, hoping that Jeremy will find them himself. Sam pulls out a few hairs of his brother and adds them to the infusion of the sleepy root, after which he falls asleep after Dean.
Winchesters find themselves in a forest, where Dean meets Lisa, settled on the grass. She invites him to sit next to her, and then disappears immediately. Jeremy appears from behind the trees and immediately rushes away. The brothers are running after him. During the chase, Dean loses Sam from sight and finds himself in a long corridor with many doors. Dean walks down the hall and enters one of the rooms, where he notices a guy sitting with his back to him. The guy turns to face Dean and he sees himself in him. The guy’s eyes are black as night, and Dean realizes that in front of him is who he will become when he goes to hell.
Dean kills his double from sleep, Sam changes his dream (since he also took the root, although Bobby later hints that this is due to his telepathic abilities) and makes Jeremy wake up. When they wake up, it turns out that Bobby never saved Belé's life, and she came to them to steal the Colt, which, in principle, she did.
