The station has 3 passenger platforms connected by a pedestrian bridge. The first platform, starting at the station building as a side, then goes into the island. This platform is high, serving the 1st path and a dead end. Low 2nd platform island, serves the 2nd and 3rd paths. The third platform on the 4th path is lateral, low, narrow and short, little is used.

The historic station building was rebuilt in the late 1960s [1] .

Long-distance trains

Ryazan-1 is the first stop when traveling from Moscow for trains in the direction of the Volga region, the Southern Urals, Central Asia, Kazakhstan ( Karaganda ) [2] . Parking time for most trains is 12 minutes. Some trains (Samara - St. Petersburg) change the locomotive at the station. As of June 2019, the following long-distance trains run through the station:
