Joe Marcus Johnson ( born Joe Marcus Johnson ; born June 29, 1981 , Little Rock , Arkansas , USA ) is an American professional basketball player who plays for the Detroit Pistons NBA team. He was selected in the 2001 NBA draft under the general 10th number by the Boston Celtics Club. He plays as an attacking defender and light forward .

NBA Career
Boston Celtics
Joe Johnson was selected at number ten on the 2001 NBA Draft Boston Celtics . In his NBA debut season for the Celtics, he spent 48 matches, of which in 33 games in the starting lineup, gaining an average of 6.3 points in 20.9 minutes [1] . In anticipation of the first playoffs since 1995, the Boston Celtics decided to strengthen the roster. Therefore, in the middle of Johnson's debut season, along with defenders Milt Palacio and Randy Brown , the 2002 pick of the first round was exchanged at the Phoenix Suns for Tony Delka and Rodney Rogers [2] .
Phoenix Suns
In the debut season for the “Sons” he played 29 matches in which he scored an average of 9.6 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game [3] .
In the regular season 2002/2003, Joe Johnson played 82 matches, of which 34 in the starting lineup, in which he scored an average of 9.8 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game. In the regular season, he became the best player in the “Suns” in terms of the percentage of sales of three-point shots [4] .
Johnson played 82 matches in the 2003/2004 regular season, of which 77 were in the starting lineup, in which he scored an average of 16.7 points, 4.7 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game. In the regular season, he became the second “Suns” player in terms of the number of points scored and the first NBA basketball player in the number of minutes spent on the court [5] [6] .
In the 2004/2005 regular season, Joe Johnson played 82 games in the starting lineup, in which he scored an average of 17.1 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game. In the regular season, he became the best Suns player in terms of percentage of three-point shots and second in the NBA [7] [8] .
Joe Johnson for three and a half seasons for the “Sons” scored 15.5 points per game and went from a rookie to a famous sniper in the National Basketball Association.
Atlanta Hawks
In the summer of 2005, Joe Johnson became highly regarded as a limited free agent and expressed his desire to leave Sans to take on a more active role in Atlanta Hawks . Johnson was upset by the Phoenix Suns offer to re-sign it below market value. The Sans offer did not match the Hawks offer for $ 70 million. On August 19, 2005, Johnson moved to Atlanta under the Sign and trade scheme and Phoenix got Boris Diao and two future elections in the first round of the NBA draft [9] .
In the 2005/2006 regular season, Joe Johnson was the best Hawks player in several categories: points (20.2 per game), assists (6.5 per game), and interceptions (1.26 per game), three-point shots (implemented 128 attempts) and minutes (40.7) [10] . He became the only Atlanta Hawks to play in all 82 games and extend the number of consecutive games in a row to 346 as of November 25, 2006. He was one of five players in the league who averaged at least 20 points and lost at least six assists in the 2005–06 season.
On February 1, 2006, Joe Johnson scored the first triple double of his career against Charlotte Bobcats : he scored 15 points, made 10 rebounds and gave 11 assists. [11] On March 7, 2006, Joe Johnson scored 42 points, which was his highest achievement in the match against Golden State Warriors [12] , and on March 13 he gave 17 record-breaking transmissions in the game against Milwaukee Bucks [13] .
He played for the US national team at the 2006 World Cup , which won a bronze medal [14] .
In the 2006/2007 regular season, Joe Johnson spent 57 matches in the starting lineup, in which he scored an average of 25.0 points (the best indicator in the Hawks), 4.2 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game [15] . His implementation of shots from the game was 47.1%, which is the highest indicator in a player’s career [16] . Joe Johnson made his all-star debut in 2007 when NBA commissioner David Stern chose him as a replacement for injured Jason Kidd [17] .
During the first 6 years of his career in the NBA , Joe Johnson's average number of points per game increased [16] .
In the 2007/2008 regular season, Joe Johnson spent 82 matches in the starting lineup, in which he scored an average of 21.7 points, 4.5 rebounds and 5.8 assists per game [18] . He became the second in the NBA in the number of minutes spent on the court and the fifth in the number of attempts to throw from the game [19] . Joe Johnson was invited as a reserve player to the 2008 All-Star Game . He was recognized as the player of the month of the Eastern Conference and twice as the player of the week [20] . He helped Atlanta Hawks for the first time in 9 years howl into the playoffs . In the fourth round game against the Boston Celtics , Johnson scored 35 points (20 of them in 4 quarters), which helped to win the Hawks with a score of 97 to 92. In the series itself, the Celtics won 4 matches out of 7 [21] .
On December 23, 2008, in the Hawks victory match against the Oklahoma City Thunder , Joe Johnson made his second trip double in his career: 20 points, 11 rebounds, 11 assists [22] . On January 31, 2009, he overcame the mark of 10,000 points in an NBA career in a match against Milwaukee Bucks [23] .
Brooklyn Nets
On July 11, 2012, Joe Johnson was traded at Brooklyn Nets for Jordan Williams , Joan Petro , Deshon Stevenson and Jordan Farmar , Anthony Morrow and two draft picks ( Houston 2013 first round draft and 2017 Nets second round draft ) [24] .
In the 2nd match of the 2014/2015 season against Detroit Pistons , Johnson scored 34 points (he scored 14 of 23 shots from the game), and Brooklyn defeated his opponent with a score of 102 by 90. 34 points was the highest player performance in one match of the season 2014/2015 [25] . On February 25, 2015, in a match against New Orleans Pelicans , Joe Johnson became the seventh player in NBA history, who simultaneously scored 18,000 points and scored 1,600 three-point shots [26] . The Nets ended up in the playoffs at the end of the season, where they lost in the first round to the Atlanta Hawks in six games.
Miami Heat
February 27, 2016 Joe Johnson signed a contract before the end of the season with the “ Miami Heat ” [27] . The next day he made his debut in the starting lineup of his new club in a match against the New York Knicks . “Miami” won with a score of 98 by 81, Johnson scored 12 points in 30 minutes of playing time, made 3 rebounds and gave 3 assists [28] . On March 1, in a game against the Chicago Bulls , he recorded 24 points in the statistical protocol of the match and replaced Reggie Theus from 50th place in the list of the best snipers in the NBA [29] . On March 12, Johnson scored 28 points, which was the player’s best performance of the season in a lost overtime match against Toronto Raptors [30] . Joe Johnson helped Miami Heat reach the second round of the playoffs , where the club from Miami lost in seven games to the Toronto Raptors.
Utah Jazz
On July 8, 2016, Joe Johnson signed a two-year contract with Utah Jazz [31] .
Johnson missed 21 matches at the start of the 2017/2018 season due to a right arm injury [32] . February 8, 2018, as a result of a trilateral exchange between the Cleveland Cavaliers , Sacramento Kings and Utah Jazz, he became a club player from Sacramento [33] . Three days later, the Kings expelled the player [34] .
