It is located in the southeastern part of the region 18 km north of Ugra , 7 km west of the P132 Vyazma - Kaluga - Tula - Ryazan highway , on the banks of the Koldovnya River. 4 km northeast of the village is the Volosta-Pyatnitsa railway station on the Torzhok - Bryansk line .

History

During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in October 1941 , liberated in March 1943 . [one]
