It is located in the south-eastern part of the region, 37 km south-west of Ugra , 25 km west of the Znamenka - Spas-Demensk highway , on the banks of the Nevetenka River. 40 km east of the village is the Vertekhovo railway station on the Torzhok - Bryansk line .

History

During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in October 1941 , liberated in March 1943 . [one]
