It is located in the south-eastern part of the region, 19 km south-west of Ugra , 0.1 km south of the Znamenka - Spas-Demensk highway , on the banks of the Ugra River. 16 km southeast of the village is the Baskakovka railway station on the Torzhok - Bryansk line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in October 1941 , liberated in March 1943 . [one]
