It is located in the south-eastern part of the region, 10 km south-west of Ugra , 0.1 km west of the Znamenka - Spas-Demensk highway , on the river bank. 8 km east of the village is the Vertekhovo railway station on the Torzhok - Bryansk line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in October 1941 , liberated in March 1943 [1] .
