Located in the southeastern part of the region, 16 km south-west of Ugra , 0.1 km south of the Znamenka - Spas-Demensk road, on the banks of the Vorona river. 13 km south-east of the village is the Baskakovka railway station on the Torzhok - Bryansk line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in October 1941 , liberated in March 1943 . [one]
