It is located in the southeastern part of the region, 23 km southeast of Ugra , 0.5 km east of the Znamenka - Spas-Demensk highway , on the river bank. 16 km east of the village is the Baskakovka railway station on the Torzhok - Bryansk line .

History

During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in October 1941 , liberated in March 1943 . [one]
