Located in the central part of the region, 16 km south-west of Dorogobuzh , 13 km west of the P137 Safonovo - Roslavl highway, on the banks of the Mogilnya River. 26 km south of the village there is the railway station Nezhoda on the Smolensk - Sukhinichi line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in October 1941 , liberated in September 1943 [1] .
