It is located in the central part of the region 20 km east of Dorogobuzh , 0.1 km south of the P134 Staraya Smolenskaya road , on the banks of the Kostrya river . 21 km north of the village is the Izdeshkovo railway station on the Moscow - Minsk line .

History

During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in October 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
