History

At the end of the first half of the 18th century , with the formation of the Miussky okrug, the Don Cossacks began to inhabit the area. The turn came to the lands where the district center is now located.

In 1802, the military chancellery allowed Lieutenant Colonel Mark Rodionov to occupy a plot of land for the settlement. So the village of Rodionov was founded. Since he stood on the river Bolshoi Nesvetai , they began to call him Rodionovo-Nesvetaysky. It was then transformed into the current settlement of Rodionovo-Nesvetayskaya, which became the center of the Rodionovo-Nesvetaysky district [2] .

Geography

The Sloboda Rodionovo-Nesvetayskaya is located 42 km from Rostov-on-Don and 30 km from Novoshakhtinsk . The district center is divided into two parts not only by the Bolshoi Nesvetay river, but also by the busy Rostov-Novoshakhtinsk highway.
