Höll, Hartmouth

Hartmut Höll ( German: Hartmut Höll ; born November 24, 1952 , Heilbronn ) is a German pianist .

Studied in Stuttgart . From his student years, he acted as an accompanist to the singer Mitsuko Shirai (later married her) and later gained fame, mainly as a chamber musician. In 1982 - 1992 Permanent accompanist of Dietrich Fischer-Discau . He also performed with Hermann Preu , Peter Schreyer , Jochen Kowalski , Rene Fleming , Tabeya Zimmermann .

He taught in Frankfurt am Main and Cologne , was a visiting professor at the Sibelius Academy ( 1998/1999 ) and Mozarteum ( 1994 - 2003 ). He is currently a professor at the Higher School of Music Karlsruhe , since 2007 its rector.

In 1990 he was awarded the Robert Schuman Prize .
