Fany Solter ( German: Fany Solter ; born 1944 , Ilheus , Brazil ) is a Brazilian-German pianist.

Born in a family of Jewish emigrants from Russia. She studied in Brazil with Homero Magallais, then graduated from the Freiburg High School of Music with Karl Zeeman . In 1972 - 1976 taught in the same place, since 1976 , professor of piano at the Karlsruhe Higher School of Music , from 1984 - 2001 . her rector. Honorary Doctor of the University of Karlsruhe ( 2001 ). In 1994 , she toured in St. Petersburg as part of a delegation of musicians from Karlsruhe as part of the Schumann Days in St. Petersburg festival [1] .
