Spitfire is the 15th single from the British band The Prodigy . Released on 12-inch vinyl on April 4, 2005 and available for download on iTunes the next day. Also released on CD on April 11, 2005 . This is the third and final single from the album Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned , in the tracklist of which this composition was the first. The actress and musician Juliette Lewis was invited to record backing vocals on the song βSpitfireβ. For the single, the title track was reworked and slightly accelerated, which gave it even more power and aggression. The single took 1st place in the British dance chart .

The video for Spitfire took up Tim Qualtrough . The video was compiled from excerpts from The Prodigy live recordings and processed by computer graphics. The video is permeated with militaristic themes, such as: explosions and large-caliber shells.

- Spitfire is used by the Calgary Flames team as an introductory song. Each time this track plays when the team goes to the "home" ice under the words "Ladies and Gentlemen, your Calgary Flames!"
