Career
Sonia Braga is the fifth of seven children in the family. In childhood, she moved with them to São Paulo. When she was only eight years old, her father died [3] .
Before successful trials in 1969, for the role in the Brazilian version of the play “Hair”, Sonia Braga had to “practice” with a secretary and a receptionist. In 1970, she starred in several films, in her first television series Globo television channel, The Courage Brothers (starring Tarsiziu Meira and Regina Duarte ). In 1972, he performed one of the roles in the Brazilian version of the famous children's television show Sesame Street .
Popularity in Brazil and the status of a national sex symbol brought her the main role in the 1975 television series directed by Walter Avanchini based on the novel by Gabriela Amador. Her partners in the series were the famous Brazilian actors Armando Bogush, Paulo Gracindo and Jose Wilker .
