Sun School Linux is a Linux distribution based on the Kubuntu distribution and developed in 2007 by VNIINS for Russian educational institutions as part of the Education System Informatization project of the National Training Foundation. School Linux differs from Kubuntu in higher Russification and better WINE work with 1C products, in particular 1C: ChronoGraph School 2.5.

"VS School Linux" comes in two versions: for a workstation and server. The server version is called “VS School Server” [1] and was developed by VNIINS OJSC together with Linux-Ink [2] . It is based on the Debian Linux distribution . Both versions were commissioned by Verysell Projects.
The main repository is the Ubuntu repository.
