Synopsis
Story
It all started with a normal day at the Xavier Institute. An unusual event is only one thing - Wolverine was about to leave school. But just a few minutes before his departure, the institute was shaken by a powerful explosion. No one was hurt, but the mansion was destroyed, and Professor X and Gina Gray disappeared without a trace ...
A year has passed. The X-Men team broke up, and it becomes increasingly difficult for mutants to live - the DRM organization ( MRD Mutant Response Division ) opened a ruthless hunt for them. When Wolverine pulls a girl out of the fire, shortly afterwards, people from the DRM abduct her entire family just because they refused to give their savior to them. Hoping to free them (and other captured DRM mutants), Wolverine finds the Beast , who all this time has been exploring the causes of the explosion. They succeed in their venture, but to fight the increased power of the DRM, Wolverine decides to reunite the X-Men. Iceman , Kitty Pride and Blacksmith return to the team immediately. The angel and the Colossus, for their reasons, refuse to return, Shelma , still angry at Logan for his departure, joins the Brotherhood of Mutants , and the Night Serpent completely disappeared somewhere. Emma Frost , a female telepathist, offers to find Professor X with the help of Cerebro , asking in return for a place on the team. She manages to find Charles Xavier (after learning about this, Cyclops also returns to the team) in a coma in Jenosch , the city-state founded by Magneto for the mutants. Having returned him from there to the restored mansion (it was not without a fight with Magneto), the X-Men receive a telepathic message from him. The professor, as it turned out, lies in a coma for another 20 years, and now in the future he, waking up from her, contacts them to warn them of great danger. Production
The series has been at the pre-production stage since April 2007, and the premiere, according to early news, was scheduled for the fall of 2008. However, this statement was refuted by Marvel , which stated that according to the schedule in the US, the series will be shown in the spring of 2009. This was also confirmed by the USA Today website, which clarified that the cartoon will be shown for the first time on January 23, 2009 on the Nicktoons Network. On January 23, the first episode was shown in the United States .
Delivery Dates
The first series was supposed to be shown on August 2, 2008 on BBC2 in the UK , but it was delayed and was shown only on January 4, 2009 on CBBC. At first, one new series was shown every Sunday, but starting on January 25th, CBBC began showing two new series every Sunday. Display times vary, and the series were available for viewing on the BBC iPlayer some time after their premiere.
