Galina Valentinovna Chistyakova ( July 26, 1962 , Izmail , Ukrainian SSR ) - Soviet , Russian and Slovak athlete , engaged in long jumps and triple jumps , world and European champion, current world record holder in long jumps (7 m 52 cm). Honored Master of Sports of the USSR (1988), advocated for the Armed Forces [2] .

Biography
Mother - Antonina Ivanovna Chistyakova, also an athlete in the past, was involved in athletics, was the champion of the Gorky region, lives in Izmail. Father - Valentin Nikolaevich Chistyakov, a sailor.
In athletics came at the age of 10 years [3] . The first coach of Chistyakova was Tatyana Ivanovna Mardashova . [4] Serious successes came at age 16, when Galina set the USSR junior record [5] .
Trained with the honored trainer of the USSR Vyacheslav Sokolov [6] . One of the first Soviet athletes, who in the 1980s began to practice triple jump [7] .
World champion and three-time European champion indoors. Chistyakova broke her first world record (on premises) in 1985, at the competitions in Chisinau - 7.25 m [8] . Galina set an open world record at the Znamensky brothers memorial , which was a qualifying competition for the Olympic Games. Shortly before the Games, Galina received a minor injury and was unable to perform in full force [3] . Winner of the Olympic Games in Seoul (1988) .
After the collapse of the USSR, she advocated for Russia and since 1996, having received citizenship, for Slovakia . She owned the Slovak record in the triple jump and played for this country at the Olympics in Atlanta (1996), after which she ended her sports career.
The husband is the famous Soviet and Russian long jumper Alexander Beskrovny . Daughter Irina, born in 1982, is involved in athletics and stands for the Slovak national team [5] .
