Falkov, Efim Stepanovich

Efim Stepanovich Falkov ( 1836 - 1865 ) - Russian agronomist and translator of agricultural literature.

He studied at the Tobolsk seminary and at the Gorygoretsky Agricultural Institute , in which he graduated from the course in 1856 with the title of scientist agronomist. From the beginning of 1860 he taught agricultural disciplines at Kazan University .

  • “On the Methods of the Distribution of Higher Agronomic Education in Russia” (Notes of the Kazan Economic Society, 1859);
  • “The Main Beginnings of Forestry ” (translation from Rasher, ib., 1860);
  • "Agriculture, as industry and science" (ib., 1860 and separately);
  • "The modern scientific theory of geography",
  • “Chemistry as applied to agriculture and physiology” (trans. From Op. Liebig - “Proceedings of the Imp. St. Petersburg. Free Econ. Society.”, 1863);
  • “Sheep and wool science” by Friedrich Schmidt (translated from German by F., edited by A. Sovetov, St. Petersburg, 1863).
