History
Created by the merger of the two clubs Charleroi Garene and Sambreville.
Since its founding in 1997, it is the strongest club in Belgium, only in the 2006/07 season, having missed the victory in the national championship. In 2005, the club managed to become the strongest in Europe: in the final of the UEFA Futsal Cup, the Belgians defeated Dynamo Moscow.
Currently, Axion 21 is showing more modest results in the European arena, for example, in the 2009/10 season, the Belgians even reached the Elite round, but took the last place in their group. And a season later, they failed to reach this stage.
After the 2010-11 season, club achievements began to decline due to financial problems. To stay professionally, the club merged with Framero Mons and renamed Charleroi 21. In 2014, part of the Charleroi 21 club merged with Chatelino Futsal and created the Charleroi club.
