Kaybitsky district

Kaybitsky district ( Tat. Kaybych municipal districts ) is an administrative-territorial unit and a municipal formation ( municipal district ) within the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation . Located in the west of the republic.

The administrative center is the village of Big Kaybitsy .

Content

Geography

It borders on Zelenodolsky , Verkhneuslonsky , Apastovsky districts of the republic and Chuvashia ( Urmarsky , Yantikovsky , Kanashsky , Komsomolsky , Yalchiksky districts ).

The largest river is Sviyaga . Other large rivers with a total length of more than 30 km (Sviyaga basin): Kubnya , Birla , Uryum , Biya , Cheremshan , Imelli , Al .

On the right bank of the Sviyaga are St. George's Mountains .

Currently, the region is exploring oil deposits.

History

Until 1920, the district was located in Sviyazhsky and Tetyushsky counties, from 1920 to 1927 only in the Sviyazhsky canton.

On February 14, 1927, the Ulyanovsk district was formed with a center in the village of Ulyankovo, and on August 1, 1927, the district center was moved to the village of Bolshoi Kaybitsy and the district was renamed Kaybitsky.

On May 17, 1956, the Podberezinsky District was abolished, and its territory was assigned to the Kaybitsky District.

On January 4, 1963, the Kaybitsky district was abolished, and its territory was attributed to the Apastovsky district.

On April 19, 1991, the Kaybitsky district was again restored [4] .

  • Kulanginsky butter and dairy factory (branch of JSC " Vamin Tatarstan ");
  • OJSC “Kulanginsky grain receiving enterprise”.

Agriculture

  • pig breeding;
  • sheep breeding.

Spring wheat, winter rye, barley, oats, buckwheat, and peas are cultivated in the area.

Large agricultural organizations:

  • LLC Golden Niva.

In the district, the newspaper Kaybych Taрыnary is published in the Tatar language and its translated edition Kaybitsky Dawns.

Transport

In the eastern part of the region, the Sviyazhsk - Buinsk - Ulyanovsk railway line passes. Stations and platforms in the area (from Kazan): Shusherma , Kulanga .

The main roads: Bolshoi Kaybitsy - Ulanovo (exit to R-241 , to Kazan), Bolshoi Kaybitsy - Old Tyaberdino - A-151 (to Kanash ), Bolshoi Kaybitsy - Apastovo (to Buinsk).
