Geography
The village is located on the small Saba river ( Moshi basin), 80 km east of Kazan (98 km by road). The nearest railway station is Shemordan - 22 km.
History
The village was founded in 1290 . In the old days, the village was known in the region as a center for pottery production. The status of the urban-type settlement has been since 2004 .
Hero of the Soviet Union Gali Zakirov was born in the village.
