Biography
- In 1953 she was born in the city of Kiev.
- In 1971-1977 she studied at the Institute of Film Engineers in Leningrad .
- 1982-1983 study at the Institute of Journalistic Excellence in Kiev .
- From 1987 to 1989, he was a member of the “Look” Creative Photo Association.
- In 1993, at the I. International Photofestival in Moscow, she was named Photographer of the Year.
- In 1994, Rita Ostrovskaya received the Ranger-Patch Price / Prize / for the project of the book, the Folkwang Museum, the city of Essen;
- In 1996 she published the album “Jews in Ukraine, townships, 1989–1994” edition Cantz Verlag, Germany.
- In 2001, Rita Ostrovskaya emigrated to Germany ( Kassel ) for permanent residence.
- In 2003-2009 she studied at the Art Academy, the city of Kassel, Faculty of Visual Communication.
