The Spanish Grand Prix of 1970 is the second stage of the World Championship in racing in the Formula 1 class of the 1970 season. Auto racing took place on March 7, 1970 on the Haram highway.

Andrea de Adamic appeared in the championship, starting on a McLaren car equipped with an Alfa Romeo motor (the usual Ford was on the machines of the other pilots of the team). "Lotus" has expanded the number of its cars to four, taking the team of the local racer Alex Soler-Roig. The pole was won by Jack Brabham, ahead of Denny Hume and Jackie Stewart. At the start of the Jackie Oliverβs car, the suspension broke and his BRM crashed into the Ferrari of Jacques X. The Belgian car caught fire, but Jacques X escaped with only minor burns. Jackie Stewart ahead of the start of Brabham, led from start to finish and won the first victory in the history of March. Jack Brabham walked second for a long time, but on lap 62 on his car the engine failed. Finishing third Mario Andretti for the first time in his career went up to the podium.
