Her name was simply Sangwan Talapat ( Thai. สังวาล ย์ ตะละ ภั ฏ ), while her official name is Somdet Pra Sinakarintra Boromrachachonan ( Thai. สมเด็จ พระ ศรี น ค ริน ทราบ รม ราช ชนนี ). In Thailand, she was affectionately called Somdeya ( Thai สมเด็จ ย่า ), which means “Royal Grandma”, as well as Mae Fai Luang ( Thai. แม่ ฟ้า หลวง ), “Royal Mother from Heaven”, or “Heavenly Royal Mother”.

The ashes of the princess are stored in the Bangkok temple of Rachabopit .
