Content
History
The foundation date of the village is considered to be February 7, 1980. The construction of Ikabya began with a team of builders and lumberjacks SMP-591 of the construction department "BAMstroyput" under the leadership of Moldovan Vasily Kudar.
On March 30, 1981, 300 fighters of the All-Union Komsomol shock detachment named after the XXVI Congress of the CPSU arrived in Ukraine from Ikabyu, of which, first of all, the SMP-696 of the BAMstroyput management was formed.
July 25 of the same year was the day of yet another big housewarming party at this construction site - the first landing of the specialized patrol SMP GruzstroyBAM arrived from the Niya Irkutsk station.
On September 24, 1983, the first working train arrived at the station, and in 1984 construction of the railway village and railway station began. His first houses were commissioned in 1986. In the same year the station was commissioned.
Now in the village Ikabyinsky secondary school No. 3, a kindergarten, a library, the House of Culture, as well as organizations of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise "East Siberian Railway" are operating.
Heraldry
The souvenir badge (2003) with the project of the coat of arms of Ikabya station is known: in the azure shield against the background of two green mountains there are three silver sheds covering each other, in front of the front of which is a two-tier conical silver tower; in the azure end of the shield is a silver winged wheel.
