Pervomaisky district is an administrative-territorial unit , one of 8 districts of the city of Rostov-on-Don . It was founded on December 15, 1936 . Until 1961, it was called the Stalin district.

Industry
There are 1922 enterprises in the Pervomaisky district, which employ 58,300 people. The symbol and calling card of the district are rightly considered: agricultural machinery, aircraft complex, instrument making. Such enterprises as LLC “KZ Rostselmash”, FSUE “Pribor”, OJSC “Granit”, OJSC “Donavia”, OJSC “Rostov Civil Aviation Plant No. 412”, LLC “Bizon”, OJSC “Almaz” are known far beyond the borders of Russia.

Culture
There are 50 educational institutions in the region, including 2 universities, 20 schools, 5 institutions of secondary specialized education, 23 preschool educational institutions.
The largest park in the city of culture and rest. Ostrovsky covers an area of 200,000 m², a children's railway is constantly functioning on its territory, the oldest Avtograd driving school (founded in 1974, the author of the idea, the initiator, the constructor of the complex, the organizer of the construction and the first director Evgeny Dmitrievich Trubachev.
