Ivane-Atabak I

Ivane-Atabak (year of birth. Unknown. - 1287) - Armenian prince of lower Khachen since 1261 [1] . Son of Hasan Jalal . Inherited the father’s rule, which was approved “by order of Hulagu and Argun ” [2] . Together with his father and mother, Mamkan in 1255-1260 went to the Mongolian capital Karakorum [3] . He continued the construction of Gandzasar [1] . According to Stepanos, Bishop Ivane-Atabak died in the winter of 1287 [4] . The power was inherited by the son of Jalal. Historical sources of information about the reign of Ivan-Atabek are scarce.
