Robert Robichek ( Robert Robitschek ; English ; December 13, 1874 ; Prague - August 1, 1967 ; Ramsey , Minnesota , USA ) - German conductor , composer and musical teacher of Jewish origin [1] .

Biography
He graduated from the Prague Conservatory , where he studied including Antonin Dvořák . He conducted at the Prague National Theater, then at Rudolstadt . In 1902 he moved to Berlin , conducted the New Royal Opera. He wrote the opera “Agasfer”, the Rhapsody for cello and orchestra, a number of orchestral and chamber compositions, songs.
Known, first of all, as the long-term head of the Klinvorth-Sharvenki Conservatory - from 1905 together with Philip Sharvenka , and after his death in 1917 - alone until 1937 , when he was dismissed by the Nazis due to non-Aryan origin. He taught conducting at the conservatory (among his students, in particular, Rodolfo Holtzmann ). In 1907 , he organized the construction of a complex of two concert halls on Lutzovstrasse Street in Berlin, used by conservatory teachers and other musicians for educational concerts, rehearsals and chamber music (in 1923 the house passed into possession of the composer and publisher Oscar Schwalm ) [2] .
He emigrated to the United States.
