When it was the Babel of Babel, and there was a division and scattering of nations; in memory of this event he was called Falek. From Pelec comes the ancestral line of the ancestors of the patriarch Abraham, the ancestor of the chosen people of God ( Genesis 11: 16-19 ; 1 Chronicles 1: 24-27 ). Nahor , the grandfather of Abraham , was the great-grandson of Pelec. ( Genesis 11: 18-26 ). Pelek is mentioned by the Evangelist Luke in the genealogy of Jesus Christ ( Luke 3:35 ).
He lived for 239 years.
