Pan American Women's Volleyball Cup

The Pan American Women's Volleyball Cup is a competition for the women's national teams of the Americas , held under the auspices of the NORCECA Volleyball Confederation and the South American Volleyball Confederation (CSV).

The first draw of the Pan American Cup among women's teams took place in 2002 in Mexico , and has been held annually ever since. He served as a qualifying tournament for the Grand Prix and Intercontinental Cup races (β€œFinal Four”).

Since 2003, competitions are held according to the following scheme: participants (from 8 to 12 teams) are divided into 2 groups, of which 3 best teams enter the playoffs, and the winners of group tournaments immediately become Cup semifinalists, and those who won in groups 2-3 -th place spend quarterfinal matches. In 2013, changes were made in the draw system: 12 teams were divided into 3 groups, with two winners of group tournaments (according to the best indicators) directly reaching the semifinal of the playoffs, and the remaining winner in the semifinal stage played the remaining teams groups second places. In 2014, there was a return to the previous system of drawing with two groups of the preliminary stage.

The Pan American Men's Volleyball Cup has been played since 2006 .
